Edith Bolling Wilson Home Renovation Underway
After years of dreaming, years of research, years of planning and fundraising, the Edith Bolling Wilson Home in Wytheville, Virginia, began renovations on December 3, 2025. With support from many museum donors and a grant from the Wythe-Bland Foundation, work began by Virginia Building Services of Roanoke, Inc., and J & W Global. This project will provide an Education Center at the Bolling Home. This is only the beginning of preserving this historic site – the birthplace and childhood home of First Lady Edith Bolling Wilson.
In the picture below, Travis Stallard is shown on the left and works with Virginia Building Services. The group around the ladder is with J & W Global. Everyone working on this project has taken a special interest in the history of the Bolling Home, the hands that built it, and is proud to be a part of its future. It has been very moving to see how this undertaking has come together with these special people and to be a part of this moment in time.
