Remembering Nick Natalle

1930-2026

Bernard (“Nick”) Natalle (1930-2026), the oldest FLARE inaugural life member at age 96, passed away on February 16, 2026. He was the father of FLARE founding member, Elizabeth (“Jody”) Natalle.

Born on an Iowa farm, Nick joined the United States Air Force in 1949 and served under Presidents Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon.  His favorite first lady was Bess Truman, and he often watched televised history programs that featured America’s first ladies. A significant contributor to FLARE’s Research Fund, Nick believed in education for women and the power of women’s leadership. His support for FLARE is much appreciated, and we extend condolences to the Natalle family.
